Patrick McManamon, OD, is the Medical Director of MOA – Plymouth Meeting. He is dedicated to providing cutting-edge medical eye care and specializes in dry eye disease treatment and specialty contact lenses. Dr. McManamon delivers compassionate care to patients with various ocular diseases and conditions and has earned a reputation for clinical excellence.

Dr. McManamon’s Experience

After graduating and completing his residency in cornea and contact lenses at The Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University), Dr. McManamon served as the Director of Dry Eye and Specialty Contact Lens at one of the largest ophthalmology practices in southeastern Pennsylvania. In this role, he played a key part in managing the pre- and post-operative care of patients undergoing complex corneal and refractive surgeries, including LASIK, ICL, and PRK. Dr. McManamon’s expertise in cataract co-management led him to be Pennsylvania’s first OD and one of the first three in the country to perform adjustments for Light Adjustable Lenses (LAL).

Get to Know Dr. McManamon

Dr. McManamon is dedicated to inspiring and educating future eye care professionals. He places great importance on teaching and training optometrists and has held various positions at Salus University, such as Clinical Instructor, Residency Supervisor, and Lecturer for the Advanced Studies in Anterior Segment. Additionally, he has written multiple articles and given various lectures on a regional and national level about various eye diseases and treatment methods, including cornea treatments, scleral lenses, cataracts, and glaucoma surgery, to advance the understanding and treatment of these conditions.

Patrick is recently married and is presently raising a dog and two cats. He is an avid adventurer and member of the National Ski Patrol. You can find him and his wife outside having fun on rivers, trails, and mountains.
