A proven, serial entrepreneur, Ken Krieg has started, built, and sold numerous companies for 40+ years, creating over $200MM in shareholder value. His visionary, disruptive thinking led to the development of the first Urgent Care concept in 1983, with four locations under the Med Now brand name.

Throughout Ken’s career in healthcare, he has relentlessly sought ways to improve the delivery and experience of care while also driving greater efficiencies. Recognizing the inherent challenges of the “one-man” obstetrical practice, Ken built the largest OB/Gyn group in the Philadelphia area in the 1990’s. His Vanguard Healthcare Group employed 60 MDs and 15 nurse midwives, staffing the Obstetrics and Gynecology departments in 17 hospitals, and delivering 35-40% of all babies in the greater Philadelphia area.

Ken’s venture into the eye health space began with Physician’s Recommended Nutriceuticals (PRN) in 2006, building and positioning a line of products that would become the leading ocular nutrition supplements of choice among both Ophthalmologists and Optometrists. It was from this vantage point that he identified the growing supply-demand gap for primary, medical eye care and created the concept of Medical Optometry America (MOA). With a successful exit for PRN and its related sister companies (Veterinarian Recommended Solutions and Acumen Health Holdings) in 2021 and driven by his continuous pursuit of better care with greater efficiency, Ken is now focusing his entrepreneurial talents on building MOA into a national brand to create a new future for eye health in America.

Other health-related companies built and sold by Ken include Omnia and US Healthconnect. He continues to serve on numerous Boards and Advisory committees for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations and enjoys mentoring young entrepreneurs. Ken is a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University with a Masters in Healthcare Management and the State University of New York with a Bachelors in Economics.
