How Does it Work?
Step 1: Comprehensive Eye Exam
Before finding your ideal pair of contact lenses, your optometrist needs to ensure that contact lenses are the right choice for you. They will perform a comprehensive eye examination to make sure you do not have any eye health conditions or issues that may affect your candidacy for contact lenses.
They will also need to confirm your exact prescription, as your contact lens prescription is not the same as your eyeglass prescription.
Step 2: Fitting Your Lenses
If the optometrist determines that contact lenses are a good option for you, they will move on to the fitting. During this step, we use state-of-the-art technology to measure the precise dimensions of your eye in a non-invasive way. These measurements help us select the contacts that will give you the most comfortable and stable fit.
Step 3: Trial Lenses
Using all of the data gathered over the first two steps, your optometrist will select the lenses they think will give you the best results. You will be given a pair of contact lenses to take home and try out.
After wearing your trial contact lenses for the recommended period of time, you will return for a follow-up appointment to tell us how they worked for you. If you are pleased with their performance, you will be given a prescription for those lenses. If the fit or correction was not quite right, you will be given a different pair of trial lenses to take home.
