MOA Best Practices

Setting & Maintaining Exceptionally
High Standards

To ensure that all MOA doctors are bringing the best medical practices to their patients, Medical Optometry America has developed standards of practice with its Advisory Board of leading academic and clinical thought leaders in both Optometry and Ophthalmology.

MOA best practices include standards for identifying, diagnosing, and treating medical eye diseases and conditions. They also include guidelines and procedures for each staff member. Every part of an MOA practice adheres to our commitment to excellence in eyecare, ensuring a truly exceptional experience.

Our Medical Optometry Assessment Test

Before a doctor can be considered “MOA-Approved,” they must first pass our unique testing, designed to demonstrate their adherence to our best practices. Our test was developed by the industry-leading experts on our Advisory Board alongside MOA’s Chief Medical Officer.

Our doctors also receive ongoing education and support through our online resource center. No matter how technology, techniques, or patient needs change, MOA optometrists remain at the forefront of medical science.
