Dr. Chaiken spent more than three decades as a highly successful practicing clinical Optometrist and practice owner while taking on numerous leadership roles focused on the regulatory, business and financial side of the eye care industry.
His clinical career and practice ownership roles culminated with Dr. Chaiken served as CEO of IRIS The Visual Group, Canada’s leading eye care provider with over 170 locations and revenues in excess of $110MM at the time of its sale to the New Look Vision Group, Inc. Previously, Dr. Chaiken also served as President, PRN Canada and President, Clinique Visuelle 20/20 Inc.
Over the years, Dr. Chaiken served three terms as the President of the Quebec Order of Optometrists and held numerous other leadership and committee roles within that organization. He was also named “Optometrist of the Year” by the Quebec Order of Optometrists.
Dr. Chaiken earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and Doctorate Degree from the University of Montreal School of Optometry.
