Medical Optometry America, the first national Optometric brand focused exclusively on primary non-surgical medical eye care, recently announced the opening of its third Eye Health Center at 303 Horsham Road, Suite G in Horsham, PA. Leading Optometrist Dr. Justin Sherman, FAAO will serve as Medical Director at MOA – Horsham and is eager to bring MOA’s brand of world class eye care to residents of the Hatboro/Horsham area, greater Bucks and Montgomery Counties and beyond.

The 5,000 square foot new location will begin operations in mid-February, but appointments are currently being taken online at www.MedODAmerica.com or by calling (267) 965-2599 or 833-MOA-EYES. MOA’s corporate offices will also be moving to this new location.

“We are thrilled to be launching our third Eye Health Center as part of our continued cadence of rapid growth in response to the increasing need for medical eye care services regionally and nationally,” said MOA CEO Ken Krieg. “We are excited to work alongside Dr. Sherman to bring this new brand of eye care to residents in the area. The need for primary non-surgical medical eye care is accelerating yet most patients, their primary care physicians, and other health professionals, are not fully aware they can reliably access this level of care from a highly qualified medical Optometrist. The MOA model helps fill an important care gap on the eye care continuum between corrective vision services and surgical interventions.”

World-Class Eye Health Resources Close to Home

Like other MOA Eye Health Centers, MOA – Horsham will offer a full suite of state-of-the-art technology for the diagnosis and treatment of all medical eye conditions, which enables MOA to elevate the eye care continuum and offer world-class care in local communities.

Each center also offers doctors on call 24/7 for emergency eye care treatment in person or via telehealth.

MOA doctors specialize in identifying, diagnosing, and treating medical eye diseases and conditions including, but not limited to:
– Dry Eye Disease
– Glaucoma
– Diabetic Eye Care
– Macular Degeneration
– Co-management of Cataract Surgery
– Emergency Eye Care

“It is an honor to be leading MOA’s newest Eye Health Center and bringing a comprehensive set of medical eye care services to residents in the Hatboro/Horsham area,” said Dr. Sherman. “I am excited to serve and become a larger part of this community, working in conjunction with other health care providers to get patients the care they need to optimize their eye health and overall health.”

Horsham Center Part of Expanding MOA Footprint

MOA’s first Eye Health Center opened in early 2021 in York County, PA under the direction of Dr. Leslie O’Dell, FAAO as Medical Director. A second center opened in Newtown Square, PA with Medical Director Dr. Christopher Kuc, FAAO leading care. Additional MOA centers are set to open later this year throughout the mid-Atlantic region with national growth slated for the near future. The success of MOA’s initial centers has demonstrated how a medically focused Optometry practice provides value to patients and is an integral part of a regional health care resources.

MOA has also become an emerging resource for pharmaceutical and medical device companies seeking partners for FDA and other Phase III and Phase IV clinical trials. This offers patients the opportunity to access new testing and treatment options early on. MOA has already successfully completed numerous clinical trials with more planned for the coming months.
